Theatrical color poster for The Big Lottery/Jackpot, designed by Polish poster designer Tadeusz Jodlowski, written by Sholem Aleichem in 1916. Image depicts a winged person with a hat flying up to a swirling sky. Performed at the Jewish Theater Estera Rachel and Ida Kaminski in Warsaw Center for Yiddish Culture in Warsaw. Sholem Aleichem was most famous for his play, Tevye the Dairyman, later adapted into Fiddler on the Roof. 38 x 26 ??. Unbacked. Creasing and tearing to the lower left edge. B.
