One of Walt Disney?s ?Nine Old Men,? Ollie Johnston worked on such Disney classics as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, and Fantasia. A lifelong train enthusiast, in 1949 he began to construct a railroad track in his backyard which he named ?La Canada Valley Railroad.? This railroad inspired Walt Disney to build his own backyard track, the Carolwood Pacific Railroad, which in turn would inspire the creation of railroad at Disneyland.
