[NASA / JPL]. JPL Ranger VII Photographs of Moon. Wrightwood, CA: Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Aug. 3, 1964. Group of 9 black & white photographs from the JPL Ranger VII mission photo series, which provided the first close-up images of the Moon. Each with JPL stamp and Office of Public Education and Information captions describing images, attached verso. Includes: Images JPL-P-3696A (RA 247); JPL-P-3697A (RA 248); JPL-P-3698A (RA 317); JPL-P-3699A (RA 359); JPL-P-3700A (RA 372); JPL-P-36701A (RA 373); JPL-P-702A (RA 379); JPL-P-703A (RA 380); JPL-P-3704A (unnumbered). As well as a note indicating the order of sequential images, in which "each picture covers the area marked in the preceding picture". [Together with] a black and white photograph of the moon, ca. 1955. Stamped verso "Southern Part of Moon at last quarter made with 60-inch Mt. Vernon Reflector on Oct 8, 1955."
