Kalanag (Helmut Schreiber). Kalanag?s Vanishing Lamp Gimmick. Circa 1957. Conical metal device with lamp wick at one end, owned and used by the German magician Kalanag in an early version of his Vanishing Lamp effect. Length 5?. Accompanied by a LOA from Billy McComb, stating that he obtained the gimmick directly from Kalanag in Hamburg in 1958, and two photos of Kalanag performing the effect.
