Norton founders Miriam Linna and the late Billy Miller started with their fanzine, KICKS in 1979, with the mission to uncover and recover great obscure music highlighting hillbilly, rhythm & blues, instrumental, garage, doo-wop, and soul artists. As the zine's popularity grew, in 1986 they started Norton Records, an archival label dedicated to reissuing those artists' music. Lot includes:
a copy of The Great Lost Photographs of Eddie Rocco from Charlton Publications -- a collection of many unpublished 1950s and 1960s pictures including photographs of Esquerita, Ruth Brown, the Treniers, and Roy Orbison.
a Norton Records Press Kit folder with 2021 Grys-Grys release updates, Esquerita's Fashion Page and information regarding the label, as well as the duo's other ventures like Bad Seed Magazine, and Kicks Books. Note attached from "M" (Miriam Linna) to Howie Pyro. 8 1/2 x 11".
