Frontispiece and 14 copperplate illustrations inserted throughout. Contemporary full vellum, ink titles on spine (binding soiled and somewhat worn, hinges starting, text toned, thumbsoiled, with occasional wear and chipping, previous owner?s ink inscription on fp). THE RARE SECOND COMPLETE GERMAN TRANSLATION OF THE KORAN, AND THE FIRST APPEARANCE OF THE TRANSLATION BY NERRETER. It is based on Marraccio?s Latin translation of 1698.
