[KUBRICK, Stanley (1928-1999) and JOHNSON, Diane (b. 1934]. The Shining. Unspecified Early Film Treatment. [N.p., ca. late 1970s].  69 (a. k. a. 68.1) pp., rectos only. Brad-bound with plain orange wrappers with die-cut window to display title on the first page. AN UNSPECIFIED EARLIER DRAFT OF THE FILM TREATMENT, WRITTEN IN NARRATIVE FORM, WITH  AN IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE TO THE FINAL VERSION. 

The important difference in this treatment and the final film version is Jack's death. In the film, he freezes to death outside of the hotel while trying to murder Danny; in this treatment, Wendy stabs him to death (there are most likely other differences not reviewed for this description.)

Light rubbing, occasional thumbsoiling. Fine.
