L.I. Cohen Highlanders Playing Cards. New York: L.I. Cohen, ca. 1862. 52 (complete). Civil War-era deck. Rounded corners with ?ivory? finish. Blue and red steamboat-like back design. All cards worn and toned as expected. Scarce. Hochman NY3. Possibly an early card-shaper?s deck, as the Eight through Ace of each suit of each suit are longer than the balance of the cards, and all of the cuts and corners have been neatly rounded.
