Original beveled cloth stamped in gilt, untrimmed edges (spine sunned, covers unevenly toned with occasional staining and scuffing, interior hinges starting and reinforced with later endpapers); contents bright. Provenance: from the collection of Betsy Flagg Melcher (1900?1991), the noted American portrait painter.
