LaMotte Falling Drop Densiometer (Special Field Model) and Additional Medical Accoutrements. Circa 1940s. This device was designed "for determining blood proteins and specific gravity of body fluids. An important adjunct in treating cases of shock." In a handled wooden case with two pull-out bottle cases and several glass bottles, tubes, pipettes, etc. Additionally, 2 booklets, an alignment chart, and a typed set of instructions.

Along with a metal test tube rack and 14 assorted small glass bottles with various labels. Some bear a label for "Harry M. Shultz, M.D." of Logansport, IN.

Box: 15 1/4 x 10 1/4 x 8 3/4".

Another example is in the collection of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.

Condition

Box with scratches, dents, and wear. Several glass pipettes and tubes are broken.
