Large Group of 4 x 5” Negatives from Unknown New Orleans Photographer. Over 2,000 Individual Pieces. 20th Century. Also included approximately 100 color slides. Subjects include mostly portraits: Individuals, couples, and family photos with many subjects dressed up in their Sunday best. Also included are celebrations like debutante balls and parades. This is a great archive of a slice of time in New Orleans.
Most negatives are in good condition although some have fused together. The whole box lots has off gassing of fixative. Most are in individual sleeves in groups or in singles.
