Le Verrier (sometimes known as ?Artus?) was a pioneer in sculpture in the French Art Deco movement. He won a gold medal in the 1925 Exposition internationale des Arts d?coratifs et industriels modernes in Paris, one of his earliest public displays. He worked extensively in bronze, but also worked in ivory, zinc, and ceramics.
