Profusely illustrated with black and white photographs + colored plates. Original wrappers bound at front and rear; original backstrip bound at rear. 4to. Spotting to front board, top edge dampstained; not affecting text block, boards bowed possibly from moisture. Interior clean and bright. An important early reference work on automata.
