Levante (Leslie Cole). Group of Levante Photographs and Ephemera. Including ten photographs of the famous Australian illusionist, including pictures of his performance of the Thumb Tie and The Magic Kettle (or Any Drink Called for, ala David Devant), hand-colored studio photos, and portrait photographs of Levante; a program for his appearance at the Palace Theatre, Chelsea, with his ?How?s Tricks? show for the week of Sept. 27, 1954; a lengthy aerogramme TLS from Levante dated June 1, 1959 to Jay and Frances Marshall; a one-page brochure; and a letter from Clifford Guest to Mark Leddy attempting to secure Levante an appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. A few photos with holes or damage, but generally good condition overall. Nice grouping.
