A massive collection of approximately 2,500 volumes spanning the 1880s ? 2020s, this library's worth of printed matter includes representative works on magic in virtually all of its forms: close-up, cards, coins, silks, theory, history, bibliography, biography, collecting, stage magic, illusions, and presentation.Included are major titles from nearly every notable publisher of the last 100 years, with books authored by virtually every major writer about sleight-of-hand during that time. Many foundational texts are included, among them works by Giobbi, Kaufman, Minch, and their contemporaries, along with books that make up Annemann's ?five foot shelf" on the subject of magic and beyond: works by Hilliard, Hugard, Hoffmann, Tarbell, Goldston, Gibson, Ganson, Annemann himself, Dai Vernon, and many others.While the bulk of the material is in English, titles in German, French, and Spanish are also included, with over half of the books being hardbound in cloth or boards. Most works are illustrated, sizes vary from 16mo to 4to, and several works are INSCRIBED AND SIGNED by their authors, with many works from limited editions, or numbered editions. Works and sets have not been collated for completeness and the collection is sold as-is and with all faults.
