[LITHOGRAPHY]. Group of Eleven Stock Certificates for Mining, Railroad or Canal Companies. [V.p., ca. 19th century]. Beautiful lithographs on thin paper of stock certificates. Three certificates are blank, the remainders have manuscript text. Sizes range from approximately 12 x 13? to 8 x 11?. Vertical and horizontal creases, a few tears on creases (Franklin Canal Company certificate has a large tear), some occasional wear. Generally excellent. Companies include: Franklin Canal Company (with coupons), Callaway Mining (with coupons), Ohio Valley Free Turnpike (with coupons), Miami Extension Canal Stock State of Ohio, Cape Fear and Deep River Navigation Company, Merchants Union Express Co., Blacklick and Conemaugh Petroleum and Mining Company, The Harlem & Spuyten Duyvil Navigation Co., Forest City and Gettysburg Railroad Company, New Haven, Middleton & Willimantic Rail Road Company (two certificates).
