Victorian-era large painted plaster figure (?Under the Clock; Figure I?) of a little girl in coat with fur trim at bottom and embroidered trim, brown boots and gloves, red and black tie, brown fur muff, gray hat with red ribbon and dog. On wooden base with motor and plug. Girl 27? high; dog 22? high. When plugged in, dog strains against leash and girl sways back and forth. Some wear. Very good. From the collection of the Museum of Science and Industry Chicago. This, and the other Marshall Field's Christmas Window display lots were created by Virginia Paxson in collaboration with the legendary New York design/fabrication firm, Spaeth Design.
