Album is further inscribed on the inside cover by Carroll:

"When we face the wind, it's your warmth that will shelter / when we face the dark, it's our love that will shine on the darkened path / when we are alone, it's the memories that warm our frozen hearts / To Mark & Liza / Happy 10th / Love Lawrence 1989."

Lawrence Carroll (1954–2019) was an Australian-born American painter known for his unique "table paintings" and box works, which are characterized by their deconstructed and sculptural qualities. By blending traditional painting techniques with everyday found objects, Carroll emerged as a significant figure in post-minimalism. His work explores themes of memory, decay, and re-creation throughout his distinguished international career.
