[LLADRO]. [FURIO, Salvador, sculptor]. ?Hamlet.? [Spain: Lladro, 1971-73]. Glossy porcelain statue of the Prince of Denmark contemplating Yorick?s skull, sculpted by Salvador Furio. With Capricho finish, and hand-painted by Ana Martinez. Inventory number #1144. Limitation #644/750. Approximately 19 x 11 x 17?. The wrist of the hand holding the skull has been skillfully restored. Later felt pads have been affixed to the bottom, obscuring manufacturer?s markings. A handsome and large version of Shakespeare?s most famous character.
