LOPEZ, Vincent (1895 - 1975). Archive of photographs and ephemera. V.p., v.d. (bulk mid-20th century). Archive of hundreds of glossy photographs (generally 8 x 10") of the American bandleader, filling over half a banker's box, some stamped on versos (David Workman Photography, New York; and various others), and many with identifying notations.
Many of the images show Lopez greeting visitors at the Taft Hotel in New York, where he was in residence for over 20 years starting in 1941. Lopez is frequently pictured with notable guests and for special occasions such as "Salute to Scotland" and "Salute to Pakistan" nights. Some of the guests pictured include Fritzi Burr, Merle Evans, William T. Schmidt, Maria Karnilova, Mary Harting, Alan Dale, Surya Kumari, and many more.
[With]: a small stack of mostly personal ephemera, including Lopez's Certificate of Baptism, copy of birth certificate, a ten-page typescript by Lopez ("Everybody Makes Mistakes"), Lopez's certificate of election to the Miami Millionaires Club, and more.
[With]: a group of 35 Hollywood publicity stills of Jimmy Stewart, Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, and others (predominantly second-generation prints).

Even curling, occasional corner creases or dings, and some other wear.
