LYLE, Cecil (Cecil Cohen, 1889 ? 1955). ?Beware! This Man Will Fool You" Poster and Broadside, Two. Circa 1930/40s. The first a two-color poster bearing a portrait of the great British magician, after the original portrait by Bloom of Chicago. With handwritten edits and instructions on the poster and on a note with the magician's letterhead. [Together with]: a one-color broadside advertising Lyle's performance at the Argyle on December 17, 1934. Generally toned, minor creasing, tears, pinholes, and wear. B. Unmounted. Each with Dawes label to verso. Largest 30 x 20".
