LYLE, Cecil (Cecil Cohen, 1889 ? 1955). The Great Lyle. [Find the Lady]. British, late 1930s. Horizontal one-sheet stone lithograph shows Lyle?s rendition of the Amac illusion known as Find the Lady; a woman hides behind one of three enormous cards hanging from a batten above the stage. The cards are mixed, yet no one can find the lady. 40 x 30?. Linen backed. Restoration across old central folds and in margins; B+/B. RARE; one of a handful known.
