Color lithograph originally in three sheets, only two in this lot (bottom sheet missing). Unmounted. Generally foxing, surface dirt, staining, and creasing. Marginal tears and wear. Reverse with cellotape in areas, particularly to creases. Each previously folded horizontally and vertically into 8ths. C+. Scottish magician Marvello was the first to present Walter Jeans' ?The Silver Hat" illusion on stage. It was from this effect that the Million Dollar Mystery was developed, elements of which are now considered some of the most important in the advances of stage illusions in the twentieth century.
