Richard M. Sherman (1928–2024) was a legendary American songwriter, best known for forming the famous "Sherman Brothers" duo with his brother Robert B. Sherman. Drafted by Walt Disney himself, the brothers wrote beloved songs for Disney films and theme parks. Their work includes iconic scores and songs for classic Disney films such as Mary Poppins (1964), The Parent Trap (1961), The Jungle Book (1967), and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977).
