Masonic (Scottish Rite) Early Light Box. Early 20th century. Paint on transparent fabric grid, with wood and hand wired lighting (currently not in working order). Chain on top for hanging. Fantastic symbolism with the sacrificial lamb and flanking columns on this hand-made light box. This lighting could be replaced and recreated to be in working order. Water stains lower right. Surface dirt and fading on imagery on the fabric grid. Third-party transportation required. 45 h x 36 w x 5"d.
