MAVEN, Max (1950 ? 2022). Max Maven?s Spirit Slates. Circa 1990s. Oversize set of wooden-framed slates on which messages appear in chalk, apparently written by ghostly hands or spirits. Magnetic gimmick, with well-made cloth bag. Outer dimensions 14 x 11?. Minor wear from professional use. From the collection of Max Maven.These slates appear similar to those owned and used by Maven?s friend and colleague, Eugene Burger.
