Original cloth backed boards with single gilt rule, central gilt medallion to front cover, spine titled in gilt, t.e.g. Illustrated with photogravure plates including several head and tail pieces. Large 4to. Front cover darkened with pale spotting and faint scuffs, corners rubbed, front endpapers marked with ink or adhesive ghosting, fore edge and gutter slightly dampstained; not affecting text.
