Series I and II in 4 volumes, royal 8vo. 192 chromolithographed plates after Alois Lunzer (offsetting to text from plates). Series I in original pebbled brown cloth stamped in gilt, blue?grey coated endpapers (spines a little sunned, light rubbing to extreme ends and corners). Series II in contemporary half morocco over marbled boards, raised bands gilt, gilt titling in compartments, marbled endpapers. Early editions of this notable 19th?century American color plate book and an important work on American flora. Bennett, p. 75 (see for first edition).
