Milne, A.A. Autographed Letter Signed to a Closer Friend. August, 1939. One page ALS written extensively on verso and recto of stationery of Cotchford Farm, Hartfield, Sussex, signed as "Blue" (the nickname given to Milne by his son Christopher Robin) and elsewhere as "A.A. Milne," in a humerous tone concerning the rejection of an article submitted to Punch, whose editor was unaware that Milne was the author of the piece. Central mailing fold, tiny stain dot.
