In the first issue dust jacket with this title listed in the second column on the rear panel. Mitchell?s only novel won her the Pulitzer Prize in 1937, as well as the National Book Award. This epic Civil War novel was adapted into the blockbuster film of the same name starring Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh, which won the 1939 Academy Award for Best Picture.
