MORETTO, Toni (Italian, 1929 ? 2011). Sawing in Half. Italian, ca. 1990s. Hand-painted ceramic sculpture depicting a magician beside the boxes for the famous stage illusion; his assistant slinks out of the bottom of the uppermost cabinet exposing the method of the trick. A very large work by Moretto, 11 ? x 7 ? x 10". Signed to base and stamped Lo Scricciolo. Also retains distributor stamp to underside. Very good overall without discernible signs of wear.
