Illustrated with oval portrait on title-page and 5 sepia plates. 162 pp. Beautifully bound in contemporary full green levant morocco, boards decoratively ruled in gilt, gilt floral cornerpieces, spine paneled and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, gilt turn-ins, brown watered silk doublures, marbled free endleaves, all edges gilt.
Condition
Some light wear to boards, some soiling in text. Fine. Bookplate of J. Eastman Hatch on ffep. AUTOGRAPH EDITION DE LUXE, #101/150 COPIES SIGNED BY WHITNEY. A beautiful presentation of this important Mormon epic poem, one of the "100 Works of Significant Mormon Literature," as per the Association of Mormon Letters.
