MORRIS, Chester (1901 - 1970). Pair of Travel Trunks and Personal Scrapbooks. 20th Century. Two large wardrobe steamer trunks, both with internal drawers and enclosed compartments for hangers. Also included are two personal scrapbooks compiled by Morris, containing a collection of newspaper and magazine clippings documenting his stage and screen career, along with candid and professional photographs, telegrams from friends, family members, and admirers, along with handwritten and typed correspondence.
Largest trunk 43 x 23 x 24 1/2".
Heavy wear to trunks with oxidation to metal; scuffs, losses, and age-related deterioration throughout.
Scrapbooks feature many loose sheets, toning and folding to paper contents.
