[NASA MEMORABILIA]. TIROS/ESSA/ITOS/NOAA Notebook with Photos and Plaque, Honoring 15 Years of Weather Satellites. [RCA, ca. 1970s]. Notebook with RCA logo and snap closure, with 32 color and black and white press photos of satellites and satellite photography, and with 8 pages of photocopied sheets of satellites (some general toning, rubbing, pin-holes in some corners). Near fine. With a plaque with the legend: ?TIROS/ESSA/ITOS/NOAA 24 Successes / 15 Years of Service to Mankind 1960-1975?" Approximately 6 x 7 ?". Back of plaque with sticky residue. Fine. TIROS (Television Infrared Observation Satellite) was the world's first weather satellite. RCA had proposed the use of television cameras.
