Native American & Western Americana Photograph Group: Grand Canyon, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Parade Scenes. 1920s–40s. Silver gelatin prints. Lot of approximately 25 vintage photographs, with additional blank or annotated backs, depicting Native American subjects, performers, and Western tourist scenes. Images include posed figures in feather headdresses and regalia, mounted parade views, group scenes with crowds and horses, dance or performance scenes, a 1927 Grand Canyon tourist image, Knott’s Berry Farm “Bottle House Indian” photographs, and several later snapshots with “Snappy Snapshots / Chicago” backstamps dated 1946.
A varied Native American / Western Americana photographic group with strong tourist, performance, parade, and Southwest/Grand Canyon content.
Various sizes, loose as found.
Condition
Some photos have manuscript notations, date stamps, blank backs, tape residue, surface wear, fading, soiling, creases, and general handling wear.
