NICKLAUS, Jack (b. 1940). Typed Letter Signed (?Jack?). February 18, 1987. Addressed to Mr. Frank A. Olson Chairman of The Hertz Corporation, asking Olson and The Hertz Corporation to be one of the sponsors of The Ryder Cup. On personal stationery, approximately 10 ? x 7?. Staple holes and paperclip markings at upper left corner, several ink notations on the letter (presumably by members of The Hertz Corporation), some marginal creasing. A good letter. Nicklaus is one of the greatest golfers of all time and a top golf course designer. During his distinguished career, he won 117 tournaments. Provenance: The Bo Overlock Collection.
