Metal picture frame with the image of a schoolboy at its center is held by the magician and then, on command, the picture visibly expands (or explodes) to approximately four times its original size. The oversized image of the boy has an open mouth which is somewhat articulated, and may be opened for a production of silks or other items. Closed size 11 x 7 ? x 1?. Shows wear and tear from use, with closure catch lacking and wear to fabric of large picture, else very good. A unique prop from the working repertoire of this noted British magician, hand shadow artist, and author. Obtained by the consignor from Nikola?s family after his death.
