[NORTH AMERICA]. LOTTER, Tobias Conrad (1717?1777). America Septentrionalis, Concinnata Juxta Observationes? Augsberg, ca. 1757. Hand?colored engraving, framed (overall, 635 x 762 mm). Based upon De L?Isle?s landmark map of 1700 that was the first attempt to revert California to peninsula form. The Great Lakes are based on Coronelli?s rendition showing the French strongpoints.
