Original dark green cloth (spine a bit sunned, some edgewear, some wear to corners, some rubbing to boards); original dust jacket (tape repairs and reinforcements on spine and rear jacket flap, some sunning, with a tape repair to front of spine, chipped, worn, soiled, with several tears). Provenance: Carroll Riedel (bookplate). FIRST EDITION OF THIS RARE HAYCRAFT-QUEEN CORNERSTONE, and the basis for the 1935 film directed by John Ford. This film won four Academy Awards, including Best Director and Best Writing, Screenplay for Dudley Nichols.
