Oak Aneroid Wall Barometer. Liverpool: J. Thompson & Co., [ca, 1875]. The aneroid barometer was a more sophisticated instrument and was housed accordingly in a baroque setting, in this case a beautifully carved solid oak case with fluted columns added on either side of the thermometer. Approximately 41 x 16?. With porcelain dial. A few neat cracks to oak case around dial. Still, a handsome, fine item. Truly a prize for the discerning collector.
