[bound with:] Twelve Sketches Illustrative of Sir Walter Scott’s Demonology and Witchcraft… London: John Murray [and:] Published for the Artist, 1830. Small 8vos. 402; second work is unpaginated. Letters… is bound with the half-title but lacks the frontispiece; Twelve Sketches… has all 12 engraved plates and descriptive text pages. Bound in modern half brown calf over brown cloth boards, two brown gilt morocco lettering labels on spine (text a bit toned, some offsetting from plates to second work – faint offsetting to title-page of first work from the missing frontispiece). Fine. FIRST EDITIONS OF THESE IMPORTANT WORKS ON WITCHCRAFT.
