Welles, Orson. Orson Welles as The Great Delasandro. Circa 1972. One-sheet poster portraying Welles as a magician with three women in harem-style costumes. Possibly used or created for Brian DePalma’s film Get to Know Your Rabbit (Warner Bros., 1972), in which Welles plays Mr. Delasandro, a retired magician. Image likely borrowed from Welles’ World War II—era “Mercury Wonder Show”. Overpainting to image; not examined out of frame. 41 x 31” overall.
