Pair of Northern Pacific Railway Banners. Circa 1950s. The first, a large canvas hand-painted horizontal banner reading "Northern Pacific / 70 Years of Service" with a white background and black lettering with cream and red accents. The second, a silk banner printed "Northern Pacific" around the red/black logo and "Route of the faster North Coast Limited." Silk banner with wooden dowels at top and bottom, and top with rope for hanging. 

Silk banner: 30 x 21 1/2". Horizontal banner: 164 x 18 3/4".

Condition

Horizontal banner: creasing, craquelure, cracking, fold lines, holes from hanging, abrasions, wear, staining, and pen marks. Each end heavily worn, creased, and has tears and losses.

Silk banner: creasing, staining, and abrasions.
