Original green cloth, upper cover with a central vignette stamped in gilt, white, and red, gilt-lettered spine, top edge gilt (extreme ends very gently rubbed, both joints starting to crack, but still firm). FIRST EDITION, SIGNED BY PEARY, with an additional presentation inscription above, most likely secretarial. An account of Peary?s expedition on the Roosevelt Arctic Bibliography 13226.
