Pedestal of Divination. London: J. Bland, ca. 1890. One of six wooden chips bearing a day of the week is concealed in a turned wooden pedestal. The others are hidden from view. The mentalist instantly divines the date of the week on the hidden chip. Self-working spring-loaded mechanism. Labels bear day, French, and German. Pedestal height 3". From the Circus Museum of Sarasota collection and retaining its inventory number under the base. Uncommon.
