Pettibone Bros. Mfg. Co. Oil Burning Sciopticon Magic Lantern. Cincinnati, OH, ca. 1890s. In original wooden trunk with instruction sheet inside the lid. Stands on a wooden base. Attractive magic lantern with two rotating holders for 10 colored glass pictures. Magic lanterns/Sciopticons were widely used by fraternal orders as a visual aid to teach initiates about the orders values and rites. Untested. Wear and abrasions. Good condition. 18 x 24 x 15".
