Approximately 300 images depicting magicians from the 1920s ? 80s, both European and American, and featuring well-known and lesser-known performers. Among those entertainers included are Shimada, Al Mann, Dorothy Dietrich, Phil Willmarth, Ward Thomas, Carter Harrison, The Valentines, Joe Cossari, Rollan Rochelle, Harold Taylor, Bill Williston, Ed Schumann, Scalzo, Le Grand David (a number of different images with snipes to their versos), Kohl & Co., Denny & Lee (and one very early portrait of Dennis Haney), Joe Palen, Thomas Magrum, Mark Wilson, Richard Tanis, Ricardo Suey, The Magic Castle, Al-Pi-Gini (many different poses), Ali Bongo, De Jen, David Ginn, Ray-Mond, Bill Stickland, and perhaps hundreds more. Very little duplication, with many images INSCRIBED AND SIGNED by their subjects (some to Phil Thomas, owner of the Yogi Magic Mart), and most 8 x 10? with some small snapshots and slides or 5 x 7? images included. A large, varied assortment capturing magicians in many scenes and presenting a wide array of tricks over the course of the twentieth century.
