Approximately 284 photos (mainly original snapshots ? numerous photos were apparently purchased), 42 real photo postcards, 28 postcards. As these items are all mounted, these were not examined on the versos. Photos range from approximately 3 x 2? to 6 x 7?. The owner / creator of this album is an unidentified married man (he only identifies himself as ?self? or ?myself?), but he does name other people he was traveling with, including his wife (?Gypsy? or ?Gipsy?). He is possibly American, as his album begins with travel through the Panama Canal. His party traveled on various vehicles, including a ship (the S. S. Remuera), trains, automobiles (many different automobiles are depicted), and more. With rare or unique views of the Panama Canal, Pitcairn Island (the site of the ?Mutiny of the Bounty?), New Zealand, Sydney, Melbourne, Mildura, Cudgee and Lock and Gorge, ?Lake?s Entrance? (with photos of people using boomerangs), the ?Reso? train, Dimboola, Werribee, Tasmania (near Hobart), the ruins at Port Arthur, Java (Garoet, Batavia, etc.), Singapore, Malay (a photo of a snake charmer in ?K. Lumpur?), Penang, India (Darjeeling, Benares, Agra and Dehli, with several external and internal views of the Taj Mahal), Kashmir (Mar Canal, Jhelum river, the Moghul Summer-House and Shalimar Gardens, Bombay and Aden), Port Said (cock-fighting, tennis games). A wonderful album. Measurements: 16 x 12 x 2?.
