PIERSON, Markus (American, b. 1961). Dr. Hey. 1988. Acrylic wooden sculpture. One of 250 copies (#68) signed by Pierson on the back of the piano. Painted coyote pianist, piano, ashtray with cigarette, glass and bottle, all on painted checkerboard dance floor. 16 x 16 x 16?. Coyote?s left arm skillfully re-attached and painted after a break. Good condition. Pierson was inspired by Joni Mitchell?s song, Coyote, and has made coyotes one of his main themes in his artwork.
