[PORTRAIT WAX PROFILES]. Pair of Matching Wax Portraits of Admirals Jervis and Duncan. [England, ca. 1797]. These are two outstanding contemporary wax medallion portraits of Admirals John Jervis (1735-1823) and Adam Duncan (1731-1804), both of these officers being commanders to Lord Nelson. Jervis is approximately 2 ? x 1 ??; Duncan is approximately 2 ? x 2?. Each is in the original wood frame under glass. Both frames approximately 7 x 6?. Some rubbing to profiles.
